Media/ Communication:- The communications and media pillar, is necessary for documentation and visibility. This pillar makes it crucial for people across the country and the globe to be aware of what is going on and to showcase the efforts of KANA in advocating for a Just Energy Transition. The communications group not only handles external communications but also improves internal capacity by training the members in public speaking and providing talking points when called upon.

The community as a pillar is crucial in that it points out environmental injustices that adversely affect their normal ways of living such as their sources of livelihoods. Furthermore, the community is key in ensuring there is adequate and meaningful public participation, and pointing out when their concerns have not been adequately addressed by the relevant duty bearers.
They are also crucial in ensuring their constitutional right to Access to Information and availability of effective remedies are fully upheld.
